Kid Dangerous : Holiday/Spring 2011 Look Book

I shot a look book a little while ago for a really fun clothing line, Kid Dangerous Grime Couture. The theme of the shoot was, "Let the Good Times Roll." And let me tell you, there were good times being had- all around.

Here is a link to their website

I met some great people, some inspiring people in fact.

The lovely and talented, Hannah Lux Davis shot the set and did a fantastic job, as always.

Check her out here

And be sure to also stop by the gorgeous, Diana Dencker's blog. (I'll be sure to point her out. Her aesthetic is incredible.)

The fascinating creature that I grew to admire is on the left. I love her face and brain.

Skin Graft

Everyone loves them. Me included.

I was elated when I walked by their show room sometime last summer and snatched up one of their dresses they had on sale.

I love to troll their site and check out what lovlies they concoct, so I can sigh wistfully.

I would love to wear this (although it's a men's hoodie) with some tights and military-styled boots...

This alpaca wool knit in particular.. I would love to rock this. I like to drape myself in knitted layers. Somewhere between grunge-esque to a dark bohemian look I would say is my aesthetic.

They are a brilliant team. I was thrilled when I was able to shoot in their stuff for the Carlton Hair shoot, about a year ago.

Le Sigh...

Jeffrey Campbell's New Comma Wedges

One word as to why I love the fall. Boots.

The moment I saw these I became obsessed. They make me swoon. They were meant to be on my feet. Now.

Jefferey Campbell has been impressing me lately. Between the wedges with the notch cut out the back, to the unicorn heels, to these. But these wedges take the cake. I don’t know If I can resist. I may have to splurge.

My thoughts are racing I can’t think of anything else except how fabulous these are!

Sneak Peak
I was involved with a shoot this past week with the delightful and talented photographer, Hannah Lux Davis for Kid Dangerous Grime Couture’s upcoming look book. The theme of the shoot was, “Let the Good Times Roll.” As we can all see here there were some times to be had and we all had a great time. I am in this shot, as the only dark, short-haired blur :) Definitely looking forward to seeing more of the shots come out as it was a high energy shoot that will definitely add to my portfolio.
Here are a couple shots from the previous project I worked on with Lux. It was for a line called, Tokyolux by Audrey Kitching.
In other news, I have decided to open my own Etsy shop. I know that I want it to  have my random jewelry/refashioned junk, hair clips, headbands, prints of photos that I have taken, and possibly some of my own raw vegan treats (crackers, cookies, desserty things). The aesthetic I am going for as far as the hair pieces and jewelry go are as follows; whimsical, elegant, sophisticated, found objects, juxtaposing styles, textural, shabby-chic, hodgepodge, morbid, dark. Of course this would depend on the piece. Not all of these are synergistic concepts but they are what comes to mind when I think of what appeals to me.
P.S. I am in the process of transferring over my blog from Tumblr to here. I prefer the layout and had just begun to post over there. So pardon the dust and incessant posting for a moment.

In the meantime you should visit the shop I am running!
And the other blog I write on!
That’s all I got for today. Until next time!
